Dear ECS Family,

We had a very successful Veterans Day Breakfast this morning, with some 60 veterans, guests, and students in attendance. I want to thank Mr. Burcham for heading this up, and all of our families that participated, contributed, and otherwise helped. I also want to thank our high school students who helped serve the food. Of course we primarily want to thank the men and women who served in various capacities in our nation's Armed Forces. Without their sacrifices and contributions the freedoms we enjoy would be inaccessible.

In honor of Veterans Day, there is no school tomorrow (Friday, November 10th, 2023). Enjoy your extended weekend.

Our Thanksgiving Feast is Friday, November 17th. We will dismiss immediately after the Feast (12:30 PM) and Thanksgiving Break will be the entire week of November 20th through 24th.

For our Thanksgiving Feast we are most in need of:

Mashed potatos,
Corn,
Cake,
Turkey,
Ham,
Rotisierre chickens,
Gravy.

The Creative Department (Photography and Yearbook classes) at ECS are sponsoring a fundraiser to raise money for expenses, such as the purchase of an SD card for every student in the program. The department is offering family portraits with a beautiful Christmas background (see below) for just $40. This includes the sitting fee and 8-10 digital photos. Appointments should be made in advance. Contact Mrs. Whiston to schedule yours today! Photos will be taken on Saturday, Nov. 25th, and digital galleries will be accessible no later than Dec. 5th. We know moms everywhere treasure their family pic for those Christmas cards. Make mom happy and get your appointment on the books now! Contact Mrs. Whiston to reserve your spot.
